119-96. Fournier and the Magic extend triumphant streak

 Orlando (USA), – Evan Fournier had 22 points for the Orlando Magic, who beat the New Orleans Pelicans 119-96 on Wednesday.

The Magic (34-38) took their third consecutive victory and are chasing the eighth place in the Eastern Conference, where they are a match for the Miami Heat (34-36), who occupy the place number eight of that group.

Aaron Gordon scored 20 points and reserve Tyson Ross added 19 for the Orlando team.

The Pelicans (31-43), previously eliminated from contention for the finals, who had reserve Stanley Johnson as their best scorer with 18 points.

Ian Clark, who also came off the bench, had 17 points and Frank Jackson had 14.

Elfrid Payton stopped his streak of double-doubles and finished in five consecutive games, getting seven points, two assists and three rebounds.

The only other NBA players with triple-double in five consecutive games are Russell Westbrook (four times), Oscar Robertson (three), Wilt Chamberlain (two) and Michael Jordan (one). (EFE).
