Hundreds of victims protested to demand support at the end of six months of the earthquake of September 19 that left 366 dead throughout the country, 238 of them in Mexico City.

In a review of the reconstruction, the head of the Government of Mexico City, Miguel Ángel Mancera, said today that by 2018 there is a budget of some 5,000 million pesos (268.5 million dollars) to continue with these tasks.
These funds will be used to repair road, hydraulic, school and housing infrastructure, demolition activities, social development, public lighting and market repair, and improvement of small businesses, said Mancera.
The Office of the President of Mexico highlighted in a statement that six months after the earthquakes “we Mexicans are standing and working” in the reconstruction of the more than 190,000 damaged properties, including schools, homes and public and cultural infrastructure.
He confirmed that according to the registry, the earthquakes damaged more than 171,000 homes throughout the affected area, 60,000 of them with total damages, in addition to the fact that there are more than 20,000 schools with damages, including 210 in total.
For the reconstruction of the homes, more than 160,000 cards of the natural disaster fund and 56,000 of the housing fund have been delivered to the victims, with a total amount of more than 7,760 million pesos (416.7 million dollars), reported The presidency.
The earthquakes also affected more than 900 health units with an estimated cost of reconstruction of almost 4,000 million pesos (214.8 million dollars) and more than 2,000 historical monuments, he added. efe
