NEW YORK – The United States Congress and the House of Representatives, through Congressman Adriano Espaillat, presented a proclamation to Dominican journalist José Rosario in recognition of his distinguished career and his significant contributions to the Dominican community abroad.
The honor was presented by Mr. Radamés López, representing Congressman Espaillat, who highlighted the years of dedication and the prestige that Rosario has brought to the Dominican diaspora through his journalistic and community work.
José Rosario Ventura is a media professional, publicist, entrepreneur, and community leader who has built a career spanning more than two decades. His work in journalism began in 1999, when he was sent to Florida as a correspondent for the newspaper Listín Diario; since then, he has distinguished himself in the fields of journalism, politics, and entertainment.
Currently, Rosario serves as president and director of the Hispanic Celebrity Awards and the firm KJ Corporate. He also holds the position of Vice President of the Florida chapter of Acroarte—an organization he previously served as president. His professional experience includes his tenure as Press Director for the Consulate General of the Dominican Republic in Miami, as well as his contributions to the Hispanic community as a contributor to the newspaper El Nuevo Herald.
Beyond his journalistic endeavors, Rosario has played a pivotal role in the political and social life of Dominicans living abroad. He has served as Press Director in Florida for two Dominican presidential campaigns and has actively collaborated with more than ten non-profit organizations dedicated to the well-being of the Hispanic community.
Upon receiving the recognition, the media professional reaffirmed his commitment: “My mission is to place the name of the Dominican Republic in a position of prestige in every event I direct, in every project, in every assignment, and in every place where the name of my country must shine.” Rosario possesses a solid academic background, including studies in Accounting, Marketing, Social Communication, Political Science, and Journalism (both broadcast and print), pursued at various institutions in the Dominican Republic and Miami.

The journalist and communicator has also received other accolades throughout his career: from the City of Miami, the Association of Art Critics of the Dominican Republic (ACROARTE), the Consulate General of the Dominican Republic in Miami, the Rostros Awards in Houston, Texas, and the newspapers El Sol de la Florida, Nosotros News, and El Listín Diario in the Dominican Republic.
