The General Director of Internal Taxes (DGII) praised the campaign that seeks to promote internal tourism in the Dominican Republic by making known the tourist attractions of all the provinces carried out by the Ministry of Tourism called “Tourism In Every Corner”.
Interviewed by Moisés González Peña, from the Despertar Nacional digital newspaper, Luis Valdez said that according to what he demonstrated in Salcedo and what the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, explained to him, “this campaign will mark a before and after in the promotion and promotion of domestic tourism in the country.
Luis Valdez thanked the Ministry of Tourism for choosing the Hermanas Mirabal province as the starting point for the activation of the Tourism in Every Corner campaign.
Valdez said that this province has the tourist potential that makes those who visit it want to repeat the visit.
“In this case, Las Hermanas Mirabal, which is my province, as I was saying, we feel happy, because in this province it has, in addition to the Mirabal Sisters, the Mural Museum, in addition to everything, they are part of the history and culture of the provinces, has enough tourist attraction that enchants”.
The official said that the pride of those born in Las Hermanas Mirabal is that Dominicans from all over the country and tourists visit and learn about the attractions that this beautiful province has.
“In Salcedo we have beautiful spas, I dream that Dominicans can enjoy and get to know, for example, the Fredo River, which is in the Charco de Jamao, that they get to know the Bajo Techo de Santa Ana, which borders the Hermanas Mirabal province, Along with Santa Ana de San Francisco and this province has so many attractions, that you can see what is in Blanquito, Catalina, what is Palma Sola, Las Guayas, el Charco de Fredo, there in Las Guayas, it feeds a natural pool, we have so much to offer, and I believe that Tourism in Every Corner is going to awaken tourism in this province,” said Luis Valdez.
At the launching ceremony of Tourism in Every Corner, Minister Collado highlighted the economic impact that internal tourism has on communities, due “to its transversality”, especially through the generation of jobs.
The official clarified that this province is symbolic of the Mirabal Sisters, leaving activated a great Tourism initiative in every corner, this program seeks to promote each destination in the Dominican Republic.
David Collado said that Tourism in each Corner aims to promote domestic tourism for the local market, through the promotion of culture, gastronomy, crafts, ecotourism and complementary community offerings.
Collado added that this new initiative seeks the integration of territorial and community groups in which they generate added value to the destination as a fundamental part of the sustainable development of each province.
