Labor Minister Luis Miguel De Camps assured this Thursday that talks are advanced to agree on the proposal presented by the National Council of Private Enterprise (Conep) to voluntarily apply a salary adjustment for the working sector.
“We learned about the position of the business sector because they made it public, where they motivated the employer sector to make a salary readjustment, and we welcome said attitude of the business sector,” said the official.
Likewise, he informed that they will begin to review the companies that have voluntarily accepted the call made by the National Council of Private Enterprise (Conep) to apply a salary increase to their employees.
Luis Miguel De Camps offered these statements after attending a meeting of the Ibero-American Social Security Organization (OISS), and the National Social Security Council (CNSS), held at the Hotel Crowne Plaza Santo Domingo.
It is recalled that the National Council of Private Enterprise (Conep) suggested to the employer sector to make a voluntary adjustment of wages, taking into account the levels of inflation experienced in the country during the last year.
The business group, which integrates the main associations and companies of the Dominican private sector, presented the suggestion today, through a press release, reporting that “this proposal is the result of extensive consultations carried out by the institution with the productive sectors of the country”.
