Microsoft is working on the redesign of the Windows 11 start menu and its version for testers has received a new update with which it seeks to facilitate desktop navigation with improvements in web browsing in Microsoft Edge and Narrator.

As the company has communicated through its blog, Microsoft has presented Windows 11 version Build 22509, released on the Windows Insider Preview Dev channel, which includes new features in web browsing with Microsoft Edge and Narrator, as well as adjustments and corrections. of the previous versions.

In accordance with what is stated in this writing, writing has been improved in the edit fields, as well as in the address bar and in the navigation experience in Edge with Narrator, Microsoft’s screen reader in Windows.

Also from now on you can quickly access the Start settings by right-clicking on the toolbar and choosing the ‘More Recommendations’ or ‘More Pins’ option, which will display an additional row of both.

In addition, in this version for developers it is possible that, when a secondary monitor is connected, the date and clock will also be displayed in the task bars of this monitor for easy viewing. Microsoft has indicated that this option is not yet available to all Insiders.

For applications that send notifications of calls, alarms or reminders, the option to present up to four notifications will be available: three of high priority and one of normal priority.

This has moved the Advanced sharing settings (wireless network detection, file and printer sharing, or public folder sharing) to a new page in this section, specifically, in Advanced network settings.

Also, from now on Windows 11 has the ability to remember Bluetooth or WiFi connection preferences while the device remains in airplane mode. That way, when this mode is activated, so are the connections to avoid interruption, for example, of a video or song.

ERROR CORRECTION
Microsoft has detailed in this release what are the fixes that have been applied in Build 22509. Some of them affect the taskbar. For example, it has announced that the icons for Home, Search, Chat, Task View or Widgets should be scaled to the system, with a scaling on the screen of 125 percent.

It has also announced that it is now possible to use handwriting when it has been configured in Chinese and a problem related to the computer mouse affecting Insiders has been mitigated. Until now, these experienced an error checking during device hibernation, so it appeared that the computer had rebooted.

Among other adjustments that have been carried out in Insider 22509, there are corrections in some superimposed texts for some languages ​​on the Installed Applications page (within the Settings menu). Also, from now on, when clicking the Uninstall a program in grid view button, a confirmation dialog will be displayed.
