Tribute to Frida and Chavela, Cuban painting, magic and the music of Reincidentes and MClan, in Guadalajara from this Friday

This weekend the cultural activity continues for all audiences and in different spaces in Guadalajara, with culture in the street, outdoors, and also in the Francisco Sobrino Museum and the Buero Vallejo Auditorium Theater.

As a preamble, this Thursday the national premiere of ‘Ay de mi, llorona’ takes place at the Buero Vallejo, a tribute to Frida Khalo and Chavela Vargas, by the hand of three artists from Colombia, Amaranta; Equatorial Guinea; Piruchi Apo, and Spain, Laura Granados.

In a press release, the Consistory has indicated that it is a production by FactorĂa Theo, under the musical direction of Salva LĂłpez; and scenic and scenography, by Juan Solo.

For lovers of contemporary art, this Friday opens the exhibition of the Cuban painter Waldo Balart, ‘Rhythms and fields of sense’, a selection of his most recent works that bring the visitor closer to a contemplation for reflection.

For Balart, “art is an ethical commitment to life through aesthetics, where the form and structure in the work of art offer rigor and color, fantasy”.

Follower of the neo-concrete current of contemporary art, the Cuban artist has opted for a reduction of plastic elements to convey diverse sensations of an intellectual and sensual nature.

Precisely the title of the show ‘Rhythms and fields of meaning’, which can be visited until June 27, defends that we must also consider thought and feeling when we are in front of a work.
