India exceeds 19.5 million COVID-19 infections after registering 392,000 in the last 24 hours

India this Sunday has exceeded the barrier of 19.5 million people infected with COVID-19 since the pandemic began, a figure that has reached after confirming 392,488 more cases in the last 24 hours.

Specifically, the Indian health authorities have verified 19,557,457 infections of COVID-19, and more than 3.3 million are still classified as active. Meanwhile, 215,542 people have died from the disease, 3,689 of them in the last day.

For its part, according to data collected by the Indian newspaper ‘Hindustan Times’, 307,865 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the last day. The number of cured in India, which is experiencing a significant deterioration of the pandemic situation, is close to 16 million.
