Russia’s First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vladimir Titov, has warned the United States on Thursday that the Russian Executive will retaliate if the US Armed Forces transfer nuclear weapons from Germany to Poland.

“Whatever military capabilities are deployed on Polish territory, posing a threat to our country, the competent Russian entities will take comprehensive response measures,” said the Russian diplomat, speaking to the Sputnik news agency.

In May, the US ambassador to Poland, Georgette Mosbacher, said in a message on her Twitter account that the White House could order the transfer of nuclear weapons from Germany to Poland.
