The Latin actress Eva Longoria will join the cast of “Dora the Explorer”, a film in which she will play the mother of the young and adventurous protagonist, informed today the specialist media The Hollywood Reporter.
This project of the Paramount studio has the actress of Peruvian origin Isabela Moner to give life to Dora.
Together with Longoria and Moner, Mexican actor Eugenio Derbez will also appear in this feature film.
Based on the popular Nickelodeon children’s series, this real action film will be directed by James Bobin (“Alice Through the Looking Glass”, 2016) from a screenplay signed by Nick Stoller (“The Muppets”, 2011).
The film will follow the track of Dora in an adventure accompanied by his best friend, the monkey Boots, and his cousin Diego.
“Dora the Explorer” is an animated series featuring a seven-year-old Latino heroine whose adventures occur in an imaginative tropical world of jungles, beaches and jungles.
The film adaptation of “Dora the Explorer” will be released in theaters in August 2019.
