González controls the Bravos’ battery

Starter Gio Gonzalez had seven innings on the mound and the Washington Nationals’ 7-3 victory over the Atlanta Braves was scored.

The Nationals, champions of the East Division of the National League, made their third consecutive win.

Gonzalez (15-7) allowed three hits, two homers and two races en route to scoring the Nationals’ victory.

The Braves lost with Jose Ramirez (2-3) in a third of the game, accepting two hits and three runs.
