A Michael Jordan jersey with the Bulls fetches a record 265,000 euros at auction

A jersey worn by former NBA star Michael Jordan reached a record $ 320,000 – about 264,000 euros – at an auction in Beverly Hills, the auction house that organized the sale confirmed Friday.

According to Julien’s Auctions, the sale set the world auction record for a Michael Jordan T-shirt. The item in question was a 1984 Chicago Bulls jersey.

The sale of a school-time basketball jersey from former President Barack Obama was another high point in the auction for more than 500 sporting goods.

The white and blue jersey for the 1979 season of the Punahou High School basketball team in Hawaii raised $ 192,000 – more than 158,000 euros. It was said to be a world record for selling a school stage T-shirt at auction.

Two sporting goods from NBA superstar LeBron James and quarterback Colin Kaepernick also fetched large sums, at $ 128,000 – more than 105,000 euros – each.

A jersey of basketball star Kobe Bryant, who died in a helicopter crash in January, sold for more than $ 38,000 – more than € 31,000. Meanwhile, a torch from the 1974 Los Angeles Olympics changed hands for more than $ 22,000 – more than 18,000 euros.
