Los Angeles (USA), – Second baseman D.J. LeMahieu hit the tug of the difference race and the New York Yankees added their sixth straight win by winning 6-5 to the Los Angeles Angels, for whom shortstop Andrelton Simmons hit a pair of homers.
The Yankees extended their winning streak to six, the best current in the American League the best they have had so far in the new championship, after having three consecutive wins from April 4 to 7.
In the ninth episode LeMahieu singled to right field and drove in the winning run.
