Los Angeles, .- The Colombian singer J Balvin will participate in the festival South by Southwest (SXSW) that is celebrated these days in Austin (Texas).
Univision unveiled today in a press release that the famous reggaeton will be the headliner of Uforia – The Home of Latin Music, a musical event organized by the Hispanic television network within the SXSW and will be held tomorrow and Thursday.
J Balvin will lead the concert on March 13 at a concert in which Amenazzy, Pedro Capo, Eladio Carrión and Lyanno will also perform.
On the other hand, Manuel Medrano, MITER, Nat’lee, Fuerza Regida and Legado 7 will be the artists that will pass through the Uforia stage on March 14th.
J Balvin will go to the Texas capital still driven by the success of his latest album, “Vibras” (2018), which included very popular songs like “My People”.
The Colombian will spend this year for outstanding musical events such as Coachella in California and Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
In addition, J Balvin recently won the artist of the year award at the Lo Nuestro Awards organized by Univisión.
SXSW is one of the most influential and important music festivals in the world and its programming includes hundreds of groups and artists from all over the world.
This year’s SXSW poster includes, among other Ibero-American artists, Mexicans Ximena Sariñana and Voz de Mando, or Spaniards Delaporte and El Twanguero.
The Colombian scene will also have a special place in SXSW with Sounds from Colombia, a concert starring La Mojarra Eléctrica, Pipers of Ovejas, Mougli and Puerto Arena.
The SXSW offer, which began on March 8 and will end on Sunday, also has, apart from music, a multitude of events dedicated to film and technology.
According to official data distributed by the organization, the 2018 edition of the festival was attended by 432,000 visitors. (EFEUSA)
