Alicia Keys will host the 61st Grammy Awards

American singer-songwriter Alicia Keys will be the host of the 61st Grammy Awards, which will be presented on February 10 in Los Angeles.

“I’m going to present the Grammy of 2019” was the title chosen by Keys (New York, 1981) for a video, published today on his website, in which he unveiled the news and shared images of how he is preparing to be the hostess of the most important gala of music.

In a statement released today by the Recording Academy of the United States, the artist, who has won 15 Grammys throughout her career, said she knows “what it’s like to be on that stage” and assured that it will “take all that atmosphere and energy “to the gala.

“I am very excited to be the master of ceremonies on the biggest night of music and to celebrate creativity, power and magic, I am especially excited for all the amazing women who are nominated this year!” He added.
For his part, the president of the Academy of Recording, Neil Portnow, argued that Keys is an artist “with a rare combination of innovative talent and passion for his art”, which makes it the “perfect choice” to present the Grammy

After celebrating its 60th birthday in New York in 2018, the Grammys return to Los Angeles this year with an evening that will take place on February 10 at the Staples Center in the city of California.

American rapper Kendrick Lamar will start as favorite with eight nominations followed by another hip-hop figure like Canada’s Drake, who won seven nominations. (EFEUSA) .-
