Chicago experienced one of the most important political and cultural events in recent years this week with the official opening of the Obama Presidential Center, a 19.3-acre complex located in historic Jackson Park on the city’s South Side, designed to preserve the legacy of former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama.
