Pablo Ibar's lawyer, Joe Nascimento, with a drawing of the Basque prisoner Pablo Ibar, upon his arrival at a conference at the Faculty of Law of the University of the Basque Country, on April 17, 2023, in San Sebastián, Guipúzcoa, País Basque (Spain). During the press conference, Nascimento has requested that a new trial be held, where Ibar proves his innocence, otherwise they will appeal to the Supreme Court. Nascimento is visiting Euskadi and Navarra, to give two conferences in which he exposes the keys to the appeal that on February 28 he filed before the Court of Appeals of the 4th Judicial District of Florida, in demand for a new trial "with all the guarantees legal" for the prisoner of Basque origin. Ibar requested last February the annulment of his life sentence to which he was sentenced in 2019 in a Florida court. Pablo Ibar has been in prison since 1994 in the United States accused of a triple murder committed in Florida on June 26 of that year, known as "The Miramar crimes",? in which the owner of the nightclub "Casey's Nickelodeon" and two dancers were murdered.
