The president of the Fuerza del Pueblo party, Leonel Fernández, begins this Thursday, September 1, in Puerto Rico, a broad political, cultural and academic agenda, which includes giving a conference on Global Trends in a Changing World, fundraising activities and swear in new members in the opposition organization.
Upon his arrival on the island of Puerto Rico, on Thursday night, Fernández will be received by an important group of businessmen, who will organize a Welcome Cocktail that will serve as a stage for fundraising, while on Friday morning, will be at the ribbon cutting and opening of the Annual Convention Economic Development Forum: “Global Economy and the Development of SMEs between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic”, in the municipality of Río Grande.
At noon on Friday the 2nd, the former president of the Dominican Republic will attend the University of Puerto Rico, to give the conference: “Global Trends of a World in Transformation”, then he will attend a floral offering in the busts of Prof. Juan Bosch and Eugenio María de Hostos, while at night he will have a meeting with intellectuals and historians at the Luis Muñoz Marín Foundation.
On the morning of Saturday, September 3, Fernández will participate in the Economic Development Forum “Global Economy and the Development of SMEs between Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic”, and in the afternoon, the former president will meet with Puerto Rican businessmen.
On Sunday the 4th, he will attend the Bar Association, 808 Avenida Juan Ponce de León San Juan, Puerto Rico 00907, where he will lead a massive swearing-in ceremony for Dominicans residing on this island who have decided to enroll in the People’s Force.
In the afternoon of Sunday, the leader of the People’s Force plans to return to the Dominican Republic to continue with his work agenda in order to strengthen the organization whose goal is to affiliate by February 2023, a million and a half members.
