Trump demands that the Republican Party stop using his name for promotion or fundraising

Former US President Donald Trump has submitted a legal document to the Republican National Committee and other GOP bodies to immediately cease using his name for promotional or fundraising purposes under threat of legal action. The letters were sent on Friday, according to sources quoted by the US press.

On the same Friday, the Republican National Committee sent an email reminding that “there are only six hours until the deadline for adding your name to the official letter of appreciation addressed to President Trump.”

Sources have recalled that Trump is with the Republican Party and with the renewal of Congress in the midterm elections of 2022, but “does not give permission to friends or enemies to use his name without explicit approval.”

In addition, Trump has created his own political action committee under the name Political Action Committee to Save the United States that will be in charge of raising funds over which the former president will maintain absolute control.
