Donald Trump and Michelle Obama, the most admired by Americans in 2020, according to a poll

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, and the former first lady of the country Michelle Obama are considered by the population as the most admired figures throughout 2020, according to a poll conducted each year by the Gallup company.

Obama has thus become the most admired woman for the third year in a row, while Trump has overtaken former President Barack Obama for the first time this year. Eighteen percent of those surveyed have opted for the New York tycoon, whom they have said they admire the most.

By contrast, 15 percent of Americans have opted for Obama himself. Most of the participants have based their opinion on their political ideas and their affinity for different political parties. In general, Republicans have said they admire Trump while Democrats have shifted their support to Obama.

The now elected vice president of the country, Kamala Harris, has been voted as the second most admired woman in the North American country, followed by the television presenter Oprah Winfrey and other political figures worldwide, such as the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel or the Queen Elizabeth II, among others.

In total, only 6 percent of those surveyed have referred to the president-elect, Joe Biden, and 3 percent have favored Anthony Fauci, the main epidemiologist of the United States Government.
