Maradona dies at 60 after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest

Former Argentine soccer player Diego Armando Maradona, considered one of the best players in history, has died at the age of 60 after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest at his home in the town of Tigre, according to the Argentine newspaper ‘ClarĂ­n’.

Maradona, winner of the 1986 World Cup with the Argentine national team, was admitted urgently three weeks ago to a clinic in the city of La Plata, due to a problem related to the gastric bypass that he underwent in 2005, and died this Wednesday.
