Leo Messi, Joao Félix and Ansu Fati, nominated for Globe Soccer Awards

FC Barcelona captain Leo Messi is among the seven nominees of the Globe Soccer awards in the best player category in the world, while his partner Ansu Fati and mattress Joao Felix aspire to the revelation player award, and Eric Abidal (Barça) and Andrea Berta (Atlético), the best sports director.

At the eleventh edition of these awards, which will be delivered on December 29 in Dubai, they are also nominated for the most important prize Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus), Bernardo Silva (Manchester City) and four Liverpool players: Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané and Alisson Becker.

Spanish football is also represented in the categories of best promise, where Fati and Felix share candidacy with Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund), Kai Havertz (Bayer Leverkusen) and Erling Haaland (Salzburg); and sports director, where besides Abidal and Berta appear Marc Overmars (Ajax), Michael Edwards (Liverpool) and Igli Tare (Lazio).

As for the rest of the awards, Liverpool, Ajax and the women’s Lyon aspire to the best club; to the best coach, Jürgen Klopp (Liverpool), Fernando Santos (Portugal), Erik ten Hag (Ajax), Massimiliano Allegri (Juventus, now without a team) and Djamel Belmadi (Algeria); the best player, the Norwegian Ada Hegerberg, the American Alex Morgan and Megan Rapineo, the French Amadine Henry, the British Lucy Bronze, the Brazilian Marta Vieira, and the Dutch Sari van Veenendaal; and the best agent, Jorge Mendes, Mino Raiola and Federico Pastorello.
