San Juan, .- The singer Ednita Nazario will be the Madrina de Orgullo Boquerón in the seventeenth edition of this event that is celebrated in Cabo Rojo, municipality of the southwestern coast of Puerto Rico.
The organization of the event reported on Wednesday through a statement that also, in a large closing to be held on Sunday, June 9 in the town of Boquerón, Michael Stuart and PJ Sin Sole are other invited artists.
In Pride Boquerón will celebrate 4 days of a wide artistic and cultural offer that will be presented on stage from Thursday June 6 to Sunday 9.
The event includes transformistas, plena, pop and tropical music, activism, dance and DJs recognized nationally and internationally.
The parade is organized under the motto “Celebrating Diversity, United for Equity, Serving the Community”.
The organizations participating in the event demand the absolute prohibition of conversion therapies with special attention to the protection of minors, the rejection of the project of “religious freedom” and guarantee safe spaces and representative visibility to LGBTTIQ populations where they can denounce the violent abuses of political and religious figures, among others.
