51% of Florida voters will not vote for Trump in 2020, poll

 Miami, Florida – 51% percent of Florida’s registered voters will not “definitely” vote for President Donald Trump if he is the Republican candidate in the 2020 presidential race, according to a poll released Thursday.

The survey of the University of Quinnipiac (Connecticut), conducted from 6 to 11 March to 1,058 voters, shows that 31% of voters would revalidate Trump in the White House and another 14% would “consider” their vote for the Republican.

In the Republican ranks, 75% support Trump, while only 2% of the Democratic electorate and 14% of the independent electorate.
Likewise, 52% of voters in this state so coveted by both parties rate Trump negatively, compared to 40% who have a positive assessment of their management.

Regarding Trump’s approval rating, the president receives a “great rejection among women” (59%), compared to a positive rating of 35%, and among voters in general the approval rating shows negative figures: 53% against and 41% in favor.

In the 2016 presidential election, the New York mogul won 49% of the votes in Florida, by 47.8% of his rival, Hillary Clinton.

Former Vice President Joe Biden, who has not yet announced whether he will participate in the 2020 White House primary election, gets a positive rating of 49%, compared to 35% who evaluates negatively.

Also, 78% of Democrats would back Biden and 8% would not. A support to the former vice-president who is 46% among the voters from 18 to 34 years of this formation, compared to 28% who do not feel attracted by his candidacy.

The index of support for Biden “you are far ahead” of that received by other Democratic contenders, highlights the survey, which has a margin of error of 3.7 percentage points.
In this context, Senator Bernie Sanders gets a negative rating of 49% of the state’s voters, while the rate in favor of the Vermont legislator is 37%.

“While (Biden) reflects on whether or not to run for president, the former vice president is receiving good news from the nation’s most important voters,” Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac survey, said in a statement.

Brown recalled that “Florida voters have been the key to winning the Electoral College in several presidential elections” and that Biden “has a healthy favorable rate of 49%.

For his part, Senator Sanders and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, who “are as well-known as Biden,” nevertheless “are viewed negatively in general.”

In the case of Warren, the index in his favor in the state is 26% and 44% is negative, while among the voters of his training 54% have a positive perception and 16% negative.

However, between 56 and 90% of voters “have not yet heard enough” about “each of the candidates”, both Democrats and Republicans, as to “form an opinion” of them. (EFEUSA)
