The Department of Education (DE) of Puerto Rico opened the online enrollment process yesterday for the next school year 2019-2020 and at midnight some 18,491 registration procedures had been registered.
These numbers meet expectations for this early stage, the department said in a statement.
On the first day this platform was open, which experienced several changes in relation to what was available last year, some parents reported to the regions having experienced some access difficulties that were due to technical situations for which agency staff he was assisting them, warned the DE.
“We urge all parents and guardians to make this important management with time and that if they have doubts, they turn to the various assistance resources we are making available to facilitate their process and accompany them during the process,” said DE Secretary Julia Keleher .
The secretary stressed that this time the process is divided into two stages, which consist of registering preferences and confirming enrollment.
The first stage is for parents to access the platform and make the selection of the campus of their choice.
Parents may list three schools in order of preference until March 1.
After that date begins the second stage in which the agency will confirm the registration and the final assignment of the school, following the order of preferences indicated by the father. (EFEUSA) .-
