The Mexican drug trafficker Dámaso López Núñez, “El Licenciado”, considered the successor of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán in front of the Sinaloa Cartel, was sentenced today to life in a federal court in Alexandria (Virginia) after pleading guilty to a crime of drug trafficking.
“The Licentiate”, 52, who had acknowledged his responsibility in the crime on September 28, will spend the rest of his life in prison.
