Life imprisonment for the successor of “Chapo” in the Sinaloa Cartel

The Mexican drug trafficker Dámaso López Núñez, “El Licenciado”, considered the successor of Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán in front of the Sinaloa Cartel, was sentenced today to life in a federal court in Alexandria (Virginia) after pleading guilty to a crime of drug trafficking.
“The Licentiate”, 52, who had acknowledged his responsibility in the crime on September 28, will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Both the defense and the prosecution had recommended to the judge that the sentence be a life-long prison sentence; the ruling includes an embargo worth 25 million dollars. (EFEUSA) .-
