The Colombian Caterine Ibargüen was hung today the gold medal of the long jump test of the Central American and Caribbean Games of Barranquilla to make a record of 6.83 meters in his last attempt.
The athlete, Olympic gold in Rio 2016 in the triple jump test, took 31 centimeters of difference to Chantel Malone, of the British Virgin Islands, who was left with the silver.
With his jump today, Ibargüen was four centimeters away from his personal best.
The third place of the race was won by Puerto Rican Alysabeth Felix, who made a jump of 6.45 meters in his fifth attempt and managed to make his best personal record, with which he took the bronze, by an inch, from Jessamyn Sauceda from Mexico.
In the fifth place ended the Panamanian Nathalee Aranda, with a record of 6.43 meters.
