A 22-year-old man and his 21-year-old partner, in an advanced state of gestation, died after the car they were traveling in Florida was hit by another car without lights whose driver fled and was arrested shortly afterwards, reported today a local medium.
Bailey McKnight, 22, and his partner Ryan Kennedy, 21, were last Saturday night in their car in Nassau County, on the northeast coast, when another vehicle without the lights on made a maneuver and collided frontally with them, picked up the local channel CBS 47.
As a result of the impact, the couple died, she was pregnant for eight months and the mother of another child.
The person responsible for the accident, Shawn Blitchington, fled the scene of the incident on foot, but was arrested shortly thereafter by the police officers near the scene of the accident.
Blitchington, who was charged with fleeing the scene of the accident with fatalities, was not carrying a valid driving license and has a criminal record for drugs.
The prosecution is likely to present more criminal charges, the newspaper said.
