Kevin Durant, MVP of the NBA finals, has been delighted with the signing, by his team, Golden State Warriors, DeMarcus Cousins center, which will provide the formation “the energy” you need.
“This July 2 things changed a lot for us by adding someone like DeMarcus, we’re excited about what it brings and it’s going to be a fun year for us,” Durant said of the NBA champion’s upcoming season.
“We needed an injection of energy and I think DeMarcus is going to provide it to us,” Durant said at a press conference during a promotional event in Manila.
Cousins, however, arrives with an Achilles tendon injury and will take some time to join the team.
The player referred to the fourth game of the final of the NBA, which was resolved with a 4-0 of the Warriors on Cleveland Cavaliers, as “a masterpiece.”
“It was like closing with a perfect work of art, a perfect canvas,” he insisted. “Now we have to let it dry for a while, that is to say all this summer, and then come back with it for the next campaign.”
The forward provided in that fourth game a triple double of 20 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.
