Sentenced to 20 years in prison for shooting a driver in Florida

A 27-year-old man living in the city of Pensacola, in northwestern Florida, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for shooting several shots from his car at the driver of another vehicle, local media reported on Monday.

The event occurred on March 5, 2017, when Daniel Thomas Fountain was in a street of that city in his car with the window down and opened fire three times against the driver of another car that passed by, picked up the Pensacola News Journal.

Soon after, the victim reported the incident to the police and made a description of the car and the person who shot him.

That same day the forces of order went to a house for disturbing the order and use of weapons and discovered that the car parked there coincided with the description provided by the victim of the shooting.

On a subsequent reconnaissance wheel, the victim identified the perpetrator.
