Puerto Rican businessman receives distinction from the governor of Florida

The owner of the restaurant chain Mesón Sandwiches, Puerto Rican Felipe Pérez-Grajales, received the Business Ambassadors Medal from the governor of the state of Florida (USA), Rick Scott, according to a statement released today.

The distinction, granted during the recent opening of the chain’s third restaurant in Central Florida, recognizes the contribution of the Puerto Rican entrepreneur in favor of the economic development of that state and the creation of new jobs, as detailed today in a press release.

“The Business Ambassadors Medal is awarded to individuals who contribute significantly to the creation of jobs and new opportunities for Florida’s families,” Scott said when presenting the award to Pérez-Grajales, owner of the largest restaurant chain from Puerto Rico.

The first store in Florida opened in June 2015 in the city of Orlando and a fourth restaurant is scheduled to open in early 2019 in Gardens on Millenia, in addition to continuing its expansion in Puerto Rico with the idea of opening new stores in Caguas and Guaynabo
