The net profit attributable to the shareholders of Grupo Televisa reached 4,525 million pesos (242 million dollars) in 2017, which represented an increase of 21.6% compared to the 3,721 million pesos (199 million dollars) of 2016 .
Net sales decreased 2.1% to 94,274 million pesos (5,041 million dollars) in 2017 compared to 96,287 million (5,149 million dollars) in 2016, a decrease that the company attributed to the reduction of revenues from content and advertising.
