A couple living in the town of Boca Raton, in the Florida county of Palm Beach, discovered with surprise an eight foot (2.44 meters) alligator swimming in the pool of their home, local media reported today.
Matt Fino and his wife, Janet Rosa, expressed their surprise at the unusual guest who was swimming in their pool on Monday.
As usual, Fino took his pet out of the house that morning for a ride and took the fright of his life when he found an alligator in the pool.
In a panic, the man ran back to his house, woke up his wife and told him what he had seen.
“Matt came screaming into the bedroom” and told me to go see it with my own eyes, the woman told the local channel WPTV.
The family resides near a canal, from which the alligator was probably found, and which was soon picked up by personnel from the Florida Commission on Wildlife and Fish Conservation (FWC).
