With 84 bands from 18 countries, the poster of the nineteenth edition of the Vive Latino Festival, which will be held on March 17 and 18 in Mexico City, will encompass a “broad musical spectrum and will be multicultural,” said Jordi Puig, director of the event.
With the international bands Gorillaz, Morrissey, Queens Of The Stone Age, Infected Mushroom, Pussy Riot and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds as main attractions, Vive Latino 2018 is reinforced by the presence of Latin American and, of course, local bands.
“This variety of representatives gives meaning to the Festival A poster of a festival must be read from different points of view and angles, and ours is like that,” added Puig in the presentation of the event.
Puig said that after 19 years the Festival has as its premise “stay and reinvent” to not become old or obsolete. “We have believed in our work” and that gave results, he added.
The organizers said that in the two days of music will be presented bands from Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, United States, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Paraguay, Venezuela, Uruguay, Israel, United Kingdom, Sweden, Russia and of course Mexico.
Among the representatives of Latin America will be A.N.I.M.A.L., Fito Paéz, Gondwana, Pericos, Los Tres, La Vela Puerca and Los Amigos Invisibles, among others, while from Mexico Cuca, Molotov, La Lupita, El Haragán and IMS, among others.
Special mention has the Spanish representatives, the rapper La Mala RodrÃguez and the band Vetusta Morla.
On that weekend, Foro Sol, part of the Hermanos RodrÃguez Autodromo, used for Formula One, expects more than 150,000 people to attend.
