The year 2018 has brought to the south of Florida temperatures below normal that have forced to close a water park in Orlando, although they are far from those that reign in the north of the country by a polar wave.
In this area of the “State of the Sun” known for its warm winters the second day of January began with temperatures between 50 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit (10 to 15.5 degrees Celsius) and drizzles in Broward and Miami Dade counties.
It is expected that Thursday is the coldest day of the week with minimums in the 45 degrees and maximums in the 60 (7 to 15.5 degrees Celsius).
The Volcano Bay water park in Orlando, central Florida, is closed since January 1 due to low temperatures and the Universal group, the owner, has not announced when it will reopen.
On the southwest coast of the Sunshine State there is a warning of cold winds from Monday for the entire Tampa Bay area and frost warning for Citrus and Levy counties.
