The CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Meg Whitman, will leave that position early in 2018 and will be occupied from February 1 by Antonio Neri.
Neri, 50, president of HP Inc. since June and who has held various positions in the company for 22 years, will also assume the presidency of HPE, the technology company said in a statement.
The statement also indicates that Whitman will remain on the HPE board of directors.
Last July, Whitman, one of the most outstanding figures of the business world of the United States, left the presidency of the board of directors of the firm HP Inc.
The entrepreneur led the group division created in 1938 in Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) and HP Inc. to separate business lines and overcome one of its worst crises.
