Mexican Mezcal enters the US and supports an NGO that protects women and children
Santo Gusano, a distillate by Oaxacan artisans

The NGO Stand For Girls, which develops care and protection programs for women and children in the United States and Latin America, received the support of the Mexican mezcal Santo Gusano, at the Art Basel international fair, within the framework of Art Week Miami.
Santo Gusano that makes its entrance to the United States, is a mezcal extracted from the espadin maguey, distilled by artisans from the southern state of Oaxaca who reveal the secrets of the town where they were born: San Dionisio Ocotepec, Tlacolula, Oaxaca.
The Mexican distillate was part of the new “spirit proposals presented at the Art Basel satellite fair, in support of Stand For Girls.
This non-governmental organization offers care and protection programs for women and children in countries like Ecuador, Nicaragua, Peru and the United States,” the organizers said.

Santo Gusano mezcal crosses the borders of Mexico to conquer new markets, including the United States, where experts consider it one of the most innovative spirits with exquisite taste.
The distillate arrives in the United States with a reputation supported by important international recognitions such as Mezcal of the Year at the 2020 Agavit Awards, Silver Medal at the Mexico Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2021; and recently, Gold Medal in the Mexico Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2022.
Santo Gusano offers organoleptic notes with subtle citrus touches and cooked maguey; a crystal clear view of stocking legs; a taste with notes of mandarin, lime and orange and a touch of spearmint and mint.
It is a mezcal created through a 100 percent handmade process and diversity of terroirs, which combined with the espadin maguey, make Santo Gusano a great experience for the senses.
