The US exceeds 250 million vaccines applied, almost 60% of citizens have at least one dose

In the United States, more than 250 million vaccines against the coronavirus have been administered to citizens, two weeks after the country managed to surpass the milestone of 200 applications, a promise of the president, Joe Biden.

This means that about 57 percent of American adults have received at least one dose of the immunizer, while 42 percent of those over 18 years of age are already fully vaccinated.

The number of immunized people shoots up to 70 percent in the case of those over 65, while 83 percent of this group have received the first injection.

According to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, for its acronym in English), almost 252 million doses have been applied, and in particular almost 109 million have already received the complete vaccination scheme in the United States, which has a population of 330 million inhabitants.

In the North American country, the vaccines of the pharmaceutical companies Moderna and Pfizer are being used, as well as that of Johnson & Johnson, although the latter is paused for the moment to study possible side effects.
