James Harden debuts with ‘triple-double’ at Brooklyn Nets

The American guard James Harden has starred this morning in the NBA in an extraordinary debut with the Brooklyn Nets, in a duel in which he has set the victory against Orlando Magic (122-115) on track with a 32-point ‘triple-double’ .

Unaware of the controversy due to his state of form in his last appearances, ‘La Barba’ emerged strongly at the Barclays Center to sign 32 points, 14 assists, 12 rebounds, 4 steals and a block in 40 minutes -with 8 of 18 in shots from the field, including 3 of 10 triples, and 13 of 15 in free throws – vital along with 42 goals from Kevin Durant to achieve the victory and neutralize the ‘double-double’ of 34 points and 10 rebounds from Nikola Vucevic.

Thus, the former Houston Rockets player became the seventh player in NBA history to achieve a ‘triple-double’ in his first game in a franchise and the first to do so scoring at least 30 points. In addition, he broke Kevin Porter’s 1977 record (13) for most assists in a first game for the Nets.

All this in a meeting in which Kyrie Irving did not participate, it was due to health and safety protocol. With this, the Nets (8-6) link three consecutive victories, while Orlando (6-7) drags five losses in a row.
