The Pope is vaccinated against COVID-19

The Pope received the coronavirus vaccine on Wednesday in a sector of the Vatican’s Paul VI Hall, according to the Argentine newspaper ‘La NaciĆ³n’, citing Vatican sources.

The Paul VI Hall has precisely been equipped with the logistics and health personnel necessary for the vaccination campaign in the small state where about 5000 people work and which has about 600 citizens, of which 240 are residents.

In fact, this morning the first doses of the vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech arrived at the Vatican. Therefore, the director of the Vatican press office, Matteo Bruni, confirmed that the vaccine had begun.

Francisco, 84, who had part of a lung removed when he was young in his native Argentina, is expected to receive the second dose of the vaccine in three weeks.
