Trump describes himself as the president who has done the most for blacks, with the “possible exception” of Lincoln

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has proclaimed himself Wednesday as the leader who has made the most progress for the African American population in the entire history of the North American country with the “possible exception” of Abraham Lincoln, under whose mandate slavery was abolished. .

In the midst of a wave of protests over the death of the young African American George Floyd during an arrest at the hands of a white police officer, Trump has insisted that, in the three and a half years he has been in the White House, he has done “much more” for the population black than his potential rival in the next elections, Joe Biden, “in 43 years”.

“In fact, (Biden) pushed them back many years with his Law Against Crime, which he does not even remember,” said the current president, referring to a 1994 regulation that led to the entry into prison of offenders convicted of minor offenses without violence.

“I have done more for African Americans than any other president in the history of the United States, with the possible exception of another Republican president, the late and great Abraham Lincoln, and he does not even come close,” added Trump on his Twitter account.

The president has assured that both the Democrats and the media that have criticized him in recent days for managing the protests “know it”, but “refuse to write or say it because they are corrupt.”
