The Pope has rejected the path of having or appearing and says that God “goes where there is hunger and thirst for peace and justice”, in his meeting this morning at the Vatican with the promoters, organizers and artists of the Christmas concert that It will take place this Saturday, December 14, in the Paul VI classroom.
“He comes to meet us on this path. Not in the vain impulse to have or to appear, no, there God does not go, and he is not found. But surely he goes where there is hunger and thirst for peace, justice, freedom of love, “said the Pope who will also attend the concert promoted by the Congregation for Catholic Education, and whose proceeds will be given to the Pontifical Scholas Occurrentes Foundation and the Salesian Missioni Don Bosco Valdocco Onlus Foundation.
The Pope has also urged the faithful to ask themselves in this time before Christmas: “What do I expect in my life? What is the greatest desire my heart has?”
In his speech, he has asked that society be determined to build a “global village of education” where the person who inhabits it “generates a network of human relationships, which are the best medicine against any form of discrimination and isolation.”
“In that village, education and art meet through the languages of music and poetry, of painting, sculpture, theater and cinema. All these expressions of human creativity can be” channels ” of fraternity and peace among the peoples of the human family as well as dialogue between religions, “he said.
Thus, he has praised the work of the artists and has asked that the heart of Catholics can “tender themselves before the mystery of Christmas.”
