Trump Announces the Death of Three “Terrorists” in a New Attack on a Boat in the Caribbean

US President Donald Trump announced this Monday an attack on a boat, the second in two weeks in Caribbean waters, in which three Venezuelan “terrorists” were killed.

“The attack resulted in the deaths of three male terrorists (…). Warning. If you are transporting drugs that can kill Americans, we will hunt you down!!,” Trump wrote on his account on the social media platform Truth Social.

Trump explained that the attack took place in the morning and on his orders. “US military forces have conducted a second kinetic strike against the positively identified, extraordinarily violent cartels and narco-terrorists,” the White House resident said.

The message is accompanied by a video from a surveillance device showing a boat stopped at sea and how a large explosion causes its destruction.

“These Venezuelan narco-terrorists were in international waters transporting illegal narcotics, a deadly poison weapon for Americans!” Trump stated, holding the cartels “responsible for devastating consequences on American communities for decades.” These drugs “have killed millions of American citizens. No more,” he emphasized.

The United States has deployed at least four warships to Caribbean waters as part of an escalation of tensions that led US forces to bomb a suspected drug boat last week, in an unprecedented attack that left eleven dead. On Saturday, military personnel from a US destroyer boarded a Venezuelan fishing vessel in its Exclusive Economic Zone.
