Trump informed of “real” Iranian attempts to assassinate him

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence of the United States informed former President Donald Trump on Tuesday that Iran has “real and specific” plans to assassinate him, all this after the tycoon has already been the victim of two attempts to end his life.

“The Office of the Director of National Intelligence has informed Trump today of real and specific threats from Iran to assassinate him in an effort to destabilize and sow chaos in the United States,” reads a statement from the head of communications for the former president’s electoral campaign, Steven Cheung.

The officials have specified that these are “continuous and coordinated attacks” that “have intensified” during the last few months and that they are already working to “guarantee” Trump’s security and for the presidential elections in November “to be free of interference.”

“Make no mistake, the terrorist regime in Iran loves (Vice President) Kamala Harris’ weakness and is terrified of Trump’s strength and determination. They will not let anything stop them or stand in their way of fighting for the American people and making America great again,” Cheung added.

US intelligence has previously spoken of an alleged Iranian plot to end his life, which is linked to a broader pattern of threats against former Trump administration officials in retaliation for the death of General Qasem Soleimani in a US strike in Iraq in January 2020.
