At least eleven people have died after a bridge collapsed in northwest China as a result of the heavy rains that hit the region, the Xinhua news agency reported.
The incident took place late this Friday, in the Zhashui district of the city of Shangluo, in the northwestern province of Shaanxi, where the structure partially collapsed around 8:40 p.m. (local time).
Until 10:00 a.m. this Saturday, the rescue teams deployed in the area have recovered five vehicles that fell into the river, although rescue operations continue, so new finds are not ruled out.
