Apple plans to launch iPad with OLED display and 12.9-inch iPad Air version in May

Apple plans to launch the new iPad with an OLED screen next May, as well as the Air version, which will have a panel of up to 12.9 inches, as recently reported by Mark Gurman.

The Bloomberg journalist announced a few weeks ago that those from Cupertino were preparing the launch of new devices for the spring of this year, among which an iPad Pro with an OLED screen and 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air laptops with an M3 processor were expected.

However, unlike previous occasions, the technology company led by Tim Cook would not organize a presentation event for these devices: it would only offer them through its website and promote them to its customers.

Sources related to the brand have now confirmed that these products will arrive at the beginning of next May, without specifying the date on which both the new iPad with OLED screen and iPad Air with 12.9-inch panel will be available.

Gurman has indicated that, with the launch of these new models, “with faster chips and renewed accessories”, Apple seeks to promote the rebirth of this category of devices, which decreased in sales after the pandemic.

With this, he recalled that the new iPad Pro models will run the M3 chip and will work with redesigned versions of the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil. The iPad Air, for its part, will get a new processor, although he has not specified which one.
