The women’s flag football team “Dagaz” of the Dominican Republic, participates in the first Brotherhood International Bowl tournament to be held this Saturday and Sunday of this November in the city of Bogotá, with the Tackle and Flag Football modalities.
In this first match, teams from Colombia, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic will make their debut in the bowl, “Dagaz has worked since its inception to take flag football to another level inside and outside the D.R. In this sense, 15 players will accompany us and will represent the country in Bogota/Colombia, in the female and mixed modality,” said the group.
It is the first time that the sport leaves from the Dominican Republic.
Flag Football is a new sport in the country, a form of American football without contact, “Dagaz” is made up of young women whose emblem is passion, discipline and loyalty.
To make this dream possible, the club remained for more than six months in a fundraising campaign and half tour motivating national and international flag teams, athletes, companies, and the general public, not only to contribute financially, but also to contribute to the strengthening and recognition of the discipline in the country.
