The Dominican beauty Celinee Santos Frías will leave next Wednesday, November 30, for the city of Tokyo in Japan where she will represent the Dominican Republic in the 60th edition of the third most important pageant in the world, Miss International 2022 with more than 80 participating countries.
Celinee was chosen as the representative of the country, within the framework of the celebration of the Miss World Dominican 2022 contest directed by the famous designer Diany Mota, who is also director of Miss International for the Dominican Republic.
The close competition will take place on December 13, being the third most important crown in the world, after Miss Universe and Miss World.
Miss Mundo Dominicana has owned the franchise since 2004 to date, achieving important awards throughout history, the position of several finalists, including Miss Melody Mir, second runner-up in 2012 and Miss Yadira Geara, viceroy. of Miss International 2005.
Within the scheduled agenda that the candidates will carry are tourist promotion visits in Tokyo, important works with UNESCO, meetings with the press, leaders, dignitaries, special visits, preliminary competitions, parades, among other commitments.
The candidates will parade before the jury during the final night in bathing suits, evening gowns and costumes representative of their countries. In the competition process, 15 semifinalists will be chosen, then this group will be reduced to 8 participants, who will give a speech to the audience where Miss International extols the value of women, their capacity and contribution to society.
After this speech, the alternates and final winner of the contest are selected.
“This is a unique and incredible opportunity for which I have been working for a long time, and a contestant must not only be beautiful and slender, there are many conditions that must be taken into account, such as cultural training, communication, humanitarian work and the social commitment. The candidates of today are more than a beautiful face and a good smile” expressed Celinee.
Celinee is 22 years old, a native of San Francisco de Macorís, studying for a law degree and is a professional model. Among her favorite hobbies is reading, dancing and her vision as a young person focuses on working with the empowerment of children and youth. Ms. Santos is a spokesperson for children through her “Together we are more” Foundation, whose mission is to support and promote education in children.
In the development of the competition, Celinee will be wearing costumes by important designers, including the representative costume of the Dominican Republic, designed by the famous Leonel Lirio and accessories by Mauricio Gallegos, which is entitled: “KAKAO FANTASY DO”
The elaborate costume highlights the story of a young peasant woman who walks in her dreams along the path of cocoa, dressing her body with leaves, recycling and complementing with colored feathers from local birds and fruits of the richest chocolate, dreaming of being the international queen and say: from Quisqueya I am the beauty!
