AMC, the largest chain of cinemas in the world, will accept bitcoin cash, ether and litecoin as a form of payment

The AMC cinema chain, the largest in the world by number of available screens, plans to accept payments in alternative cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin cash, ether and litecoin, according to the CEO of the company, Adam Aron, in a message on his profile from the social network Twitter.

AMC announced last August, when publishing its quarterly accounts, that it planned to accept payments in bitcoin from 2022. However, this payment method will only be available for ticket purchases over the Internet.

In recent months, several companies have started to accept cryptocurrencies, especially bitcoin, as a means of payment. One of them was Tesla, although soon after its CEO, Elon Musk, retracted that decision, alluding to its high energy consumption. On its side, Paypal allows you to acquire cryptocurrencies from its application, although when making transactions you have to convert it to a fiat currency.

Square, the payment services company of the founder of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, has been allowing for several months to buy and sell bitcoin, as well as to make transfers between individuals, through its Cash App.
