Lakers break bad streak against Portland and Clippers get ‘revenge’ on Memphis

The Los Angeles Lakers have ended a four-game losing streak by beating the Portland Trail Blazers (102-93) this morning, on an NBA day in which their neighbors Los Angeles Clippers have settled in second place in the Western Conference after beating Memphis Grizzlies (99-119).

With LeBron James in stellar mode, with 28 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals and 3 blocks, and on the return of Dennis Schroder (22), those in purple and gold countered the great game of Portland guard Damian Lillard ( 35).

For his part, the Catalan pivot Marc Gasol, who had 17 minutes of participation, signed 8 points -2 of 7 in field goals, including 1 of 5 triples, and 3 of 4 from the personnel line-, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and a block with a great performance at the start of the third quarter.

Meanwhile, the Clippers have established themselves in second place in the West (24-11) and have recovered from their defeat on Thursday against the Memphis Grizzlies, whom they have won this time thanks to the forward’s almost ‘triple-double’ Kawhi Leonard, who had 30 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists.

The Spanish-Congolese power forward Serge Ibaka spent 27 minutes on the court, in which he scored 12 points, captured 4 rebounds, offered 3 assists, recovered 1 ball and put up 2 blocks.

MARC GASOL: 8 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block.

SERGE IBAKA: 12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks.
